2014.05.24 Memorial Day Flag Placement

Updated with pictures:

Along with other volunteers and scouts in our districtPack 1238 annually honors veterans by placing more than 3,800 American flags and crosses or Stars of David at the graves of veterans at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton on the Saturday prior to Memorial Day. Marking the graves in preparation for the Memorial Day service is a tradition in Fullerton that dates back more than 70 years.

Please join us. It is a great opportunity for us parents to positively reinforce to our kids an important part of the Cub Scout Promise, "To do my duty to God and my country." The veterans who we will be honoring epitomize the spirit of this oath.
