Action Items for Parents:
1.Please bring along with your child, the Tiger handbook, pencil, water.
2. Supplies needed: Leaf, crayon or pencil, and (thin) paper for making leaf rubbing.
3. Snacks/Lunch for the week will be provided by: Christina
4. Prior to meeting, if you haven't already please complete:
1F - Think of one chore you can do with your adult partner. Complete it together.
3Fa - With your family, plan a fire drill and then practice it in your home.
3Fb - With your adult partner, plan what to do if you become lost or separated from your family in a strange place.
5. Homework after meeting will be 4F (see below).
We will be working on the following during our meeting:
I. Achievement 4: How I Tell It
4F: Family Activity: At a family meal take turns telling each other one thing that happened that day. Practice listening and patience as you wait your turn (homework).
4D: Den Activity: Play Tell It Like It Isn’t. Talk about respectful listening and how to give information (speaking voice, gestures, etc.). Then have each Tiger tell about a family celebration. (Elective 1)
4G: Go See It Activity: Visit a television station, radio station, or newspaper office. Find out how people there communicate with others (to be planned).
II. Achievement 5: : Let's Go Outdoors! This achievement is also part of Cub Scouting’s Leave No Trace Award.
5F COMPLETE – Family Activity: Go outside and watch the weather & Character Connection: Faith
5D – Den Activity: With a crayon or colored pencil and a piece of paper, make a leaf rubbing.
5G COMPLETE – Go See It Activity: Take a hike with your den
